Education System - Bachelor's Degree

【Academic system】
The academic years at university in UK normally are 3 years. Taiwan's students at the 3rd grade in senior high school have to attend foundation course for one year, then be able to enter university. It results from the difference of academic system between Taiwna (6 years at middle school, 4 years at university) and UK (7 years at secondary school, 3 years at university). The foundation course is regarded as the similar one to A-level of the 7th secondary school in UK. After having successfully completed the foundation course, students then are permitted to apply for entrance to university.

【How to apply】
applications for Bachelor degree of university in UK are all within access of UCAS. An unified application form of UCSA is required. You may once apply for one to six universities. Education System - Secondary & High School

【Levels】
Students from junior & senior high school of Taiwan are transferable to British secondary school.

【School】
State secondary school or independent boarding school.

【Features】
For traditional independent boarding school, all activities are running in campus including accommodation, concert, sporting campaign & extra curriculum...etc. There are restaurant, laundry, sporting field, stadium located in a large area of campus. School laundry is responsible for package of washing & ironing with clothes and uniforms.

【Security】
Students are escorted by dorm superintendent & medical guardian within 24 hours. There are attorney of guardians for students, who are responsible for security & learning process during study at school.

【Academic system】
It takes 7 years for secondary school in England. The former 3 years are for basic level of secondary & the 4th & 5th years are for GCES & The 6th & 7th are for A-level. Afterwards a university of 3 years will then be stepped forward. Systematically it takes 3 years for university in UK.

Degree granted is the same as the one for full-time students, which bears no any discrimination on it. Except Taiwan, Degree of distance learning is honored as formal education record by most countries worldwide.

【Special regulation of M.O.E Taiwan】
Degree of distant learning could be granted in case that two thirds of the curriculums must be accomplished in UK. Only one third of those could be accomplished in Taiwan.

【Degree years】
Normally it takes 2years of Master and 3-5 years for PhD.
